An important update

Jessie May to join Children’s Hospice South West
Jessie May will be joining Children’s Hospice South West in a partnership designed to protect and strengthen hospice at home care for families, now and into the future.
This brings together two organisations with a shared commitment to supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families, at a time when children’s hospice services across the UK are facing increasing financial pressures.
Like many charities in the current climate, Jessie May has faced funding challenges. After careful consideration it became clear that working in partnership offers the strongest and most sustainable way to protect our specialist hospice at home service for the families who rely on it.
Jessie May has always been about helping families live well, create memories, and find moments of normality during the most challenging times. This partnership helps ensure we can continue doing exactly that for years to come.
What this means for families
There is no change to the care families receive.
Your Jessie May nurse and care team remain the same. The support you receive at home continues exactly as it does today.
Jessie May will continue as Jessie May – with the same people, the same approach, and the same commitment to your family.
What happens next
Nothing changes straight away.
Our priority remains supporting families exactly as we do today. Over time, Jessie May and Children’s Hospice South West will work more closely together, but this will happen gradually and thoughtfully.
We will continue to keep families informed every step of the way.
For our supporters and community
This moment reflects the strength of Jessie May and the community behind it.
Everything Jessie May has become – the care, the trust, the relationships – has been built by our supporters, donors, partners and families. This partnership recognises that impact and the importance of protecting it.
Strengthening Jessie May for the future
Joining Children’s Hospice South West provides greater long-term stability and helps secure the future of our work.
It means Jessie May can continue supporting families at home, while creating a more sustainable foundation for the years ahead.
Your support still matters.
Jessie May will continue to fundraise and rely on the support of our community.
Donations will continue to directly support the care our families receive. This partnership strengthens our future – but it does not remove the need for public support.
