Last month, colleagues from McLaughlin & Harvey’s Bristol office took on the National Three Peaks Challenge, scaling the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike), and Wales (Snowdon) — all within 24 hours. The total walking distance of the challenge amounts to 23 miles, and the total ascent is 10,052ft.
The challenge was undertaken to raise funds and awareness for four incredible charities: one being Jessie May.
Martin Harvey, Senior Commercial Manager at McLaughlin & Harvey, said:
“We have been overwhelmed by the generosity and support from our colleagues, as well as the supply chain of McLaughlin & Harvey. We set ourselves an ambitious target of £40,000 and have exceeded this and more!
“The team showed great determination, hard work and team spirit throughout our training and on the challenge day. The mental resilience of everyone was amazing on the day and the weather was virtually perfect.”
Emma Carter, Head of Fundraising and Comms at Jessie May said:
“Huge congratulations to the team at McLaughlin & Harvey for completing the three peaks challenge and raising such a fantastic amount for Jessie May. Thanks to supporters like McLaughlin and Harvey, seriously ill children can spend more time at home, exhausted parents can take a break, siblings can spend time together and children can be children. Together, we help create moments of joy and memories for families to look back on when they need them most.”
We’re so grateful to the McLaughlin & Harvey team for their incredible support. Every donation makes a meaningful difference to the lives of the children and families we care for.
