Join us in a unique partnership role

We’re delighted to be partnering with Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) to recruit for this exciting new role.

This is a unique opportunity to work across two organisations that share a commitment to improving the lives of children, young people and their families. During the first year, this jointly funded post will see you working across both organisations, helping to strengthen our partnership, share expertise and maximise our collective impact.

As part of this innovative role, you’ll build relationships with children, young people and families, working alongside colleagues from both organisations to ensure lived experience shapes the way we develop and deliver our services.

What you’ll be doing

As our Family Engagement Facilitator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the voices of children, young people and families are heard and valued. You’ll establish and support Family and Children’s Advisory Boards, facilitate engagement activities and peer support opportunities, and gather and present feedback that directly informs service development, governance and strategic decision-making.

Working across both organisations, you’ll champion co-production, ensuring the experiences and perspectives of children, young people and families influence decision-making at every level. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping to strengthen engagement and collaboration across our partnership.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about working alongside children, young people and families and believes in the value of co-production. You’ll be confident building relationships, facilitating meaningful conversations and creating opportunities for families to influence positive change.

You’ll bring enthusiasm, creativity and a commitment to inclusion, along with excellent communication and organisational skills. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively across organisations and be motivated by the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and families across the South West.

We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and able to thrive.

If you meet the essential criteria for the role, we’d love to hear from you. We also recognise that no one candidate will meet every desirable criterion, so if you have the skills, values and potential to succeed, we encourage you to apply.
