On Sunday 3 August, a group of around 20 colleagues from TLT tromped across the three peaks of Pen-y-Fan, Corn Du and Cribyn in torrential rain and poor visibility.

The trek, organised by Bristol’s Charity Committee, offered an exhilarating route which (should have) provided spectacular views across the Brecon Beacons. Unfortunately, British weather prevailed, and they were soaked through despite waterproof clothing! The rain did not dampen the team’s spirits though and colleagues successfully fundraised a staggering £4,100 for Jessie May.

Emily Andrews, Associate at TLT, said:

It’s been wonderful to see colleagues from all different parts and levels of the business come together to support a cause which means so much to such vulnerable young people and their families in our community. Having organised a range of different types of events over the last four years, I’m so pleased that we’ve been able to raise a sum which will make a substantial impact. Whilst the weather could have certainly been better, everyone had a great time and I’d encourage all colleagues to look out for how to get involved in future events!”

Rhiannon Edwards, Trainee Solicitor at TLT, said:

Thank you to all our hikers for who braved the elements at almost 3000ft, and despite soggy sandwiches we were treated to mid-afternoon sunshine, wild horses, and plenty of funny anecdotes.”

From all of us at Jessie May, we’d like to say a huge thank you to you all at TLT and to everyone for their kind donations. As your charity partner, we are thrilled to see the energy and teamwork you’ve shown, and we know the funds you’ve raised will make a real difference to the children and families we support.
