On March 22nd 2026, a dedicated team from Bupa Dental Care in Wells will be lacing up their boots and climbing Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales – all to raise money for Jessie May. Their challenge, One Peak, One Purpose, is inspired by someone very special to their team: Margot, a child that Jessie May supports.

Margot’s older sister, Harriet, works at the practice and has seen first‑hand the difference Jessie May has made to her family’s life. When the opportunity arose to choose a charity to support at work, Harriet knew immediately who she wanted the team to fundraise for.

“Jessie May were introduced into Margot’s life very early on and have been by, not only Margot’s side, but my familie’s too. They make such an unknown time feel like a positive path to the future. I know Margot is in such good hands, and it makes me happy to know she enjoys the company of Jessie May – especially Lois, who almost feels like family.” – Harriet

For the Griffiths family, Jessie May has been a constant source of reassurance, care, and connection over the last four years. Harriet describes the nurses as people who “really care and really engage with the child and their family” – support that has meant the world to them.

That’s why this climb matters so much.

Every donation helps Jessie May reach more children like Margot, offering specialist nursing care, emotional support, and moments of joy during some of the most challenging times a family can face.

Harriet and her colleagues have been raising money over the last six months to raise as much as they can – both through their GoFundMe page and activities within the practice. Their enthusiasm has already created a real buzz, and the whole team is behind the challenge.

Jessie May would like to thank the whole team for giving their time to support the charity, and we’re wishing you all the very best for the climb.
