What is Christmas Jumper Day?

Christmas Jumper Day was a festive campaign launched in 2012 by Save the Children. As a way to raise money, they would ask those who wear festive knitwear on the day to donate a minimum of £2 towards the organisation, and a minimum of £1 if participants are in nursery, school or a youth group.

People across the UK now take part in Christmas Jumper Day for a number of different charities, and you can do so this year for Jessie May!

How can wearing a Christmas jumper help Jessie May?

Taking part in Christmas Jumper Day can help Jessie May in two easy ways:

Festive Fundraising

With traditional festive events (Christmas markets/carol concerts) coming to a complete halt this year, our fundraising has come to a stop. By donning a jumper, and paying in your £2, you can help our Jessie May Nurses to support families this Christmas.

Spreading the word

One of the most invaluable ways you can support any charity is by shouting about it from the rooftops (the proverbial rooftop). Whether it’s telling your neighbour who you’re wearing your jumper on behalf of; or sharing our story on social media. Every little helps.

How else to support Jessie May this Christmas:

Don’t fancy slipping on Grandma’s crocheted sweater next Friday? You can still support Jessie May this Christmas by sharing our Christmas Campaign.

Following the story of the McArthur’s, we want to bring some joy and laughter to our Jessie May families this Christmas.

You can help to spread some #JessieJoy by joining the conversation on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, or you can donate this Christmas here.
