We’re excited to announce a very special, operatic event is coming to Portishead in support of Jessie May!
Our friends at Gordano Breakfast Rotary Club are inviting the community to a wonderful operatic evening on Saturday 20th July in aid of several charities including Jessie May. “Music on a Summer’s Eve” takes place at 7.30pm at St. Peter’s Church, Portishead (BS20 6PS), and will feature Ben Makisi, fondly known as ‘The Polynesian Pavarotti’.
Ben, who is based in London and is currently the Guest Entertainer on Carnival UK Cruises, will be performing a selection of well-known arias and popular operatic pieces, supported by his special friends, a classical pianist and violinist. Born in Wellington NZ of Samoan and Tongan descent, Ben began singing at an early age. His impressive biography details the main awards he has won during the course of his career along with performances alongside Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Sir Donald McIntyre and Dame Malvina Major.
Gordano Breakfast Rotary Club and Jessie May are delighted he has agreed to take time out of his busy schedule to appear at “Music on a Summer’s Eve”.
Tickets for the event are £20 and are available to purchase online here.
A huge thank you to everyone at Gordano Breakfast Rotary Club for organising this fantastic event!
