We had a mouth-wateringly fantastic time at the South Glos Food & Drink Festival over the weekend!

We were delighted the show organisers offered their support to Jessie May and what a fun, foodie weekend it was!

Over £550 was raised for Jessie May over the show days and our team of staff and volunteers had a wonderful time meeting supporters old and new. The weekend brought together delectable food and drink, and thanks to donations of sweets from our friends at iCandy Fudge, we were able to raise a total of £557.71 by selling on sweet treats, holding a raffle and greeting show visitors with our purple Jessie May collection tins.

Hosted on the Lawns at the Bristol & Bath Science Park, thousands of visitors came along to sample and buy an exciting array of culinary delights and drinks and enjoy live entertainment.

Summer Dixon, from the South Glos Food & Drink Festival Events Team said: “It was a pleasure having the Jessie May team join us at the Food Festival. The work the charity does is vital for so many in the local area and we are determined to raise as much as possible continuing with the South Gloucestershire Show this August.”

The show organisers continue to show their incredible support and generosity to Jessie May. As the organisers of the South Gloucestershire Show, we were thrilled to receive a £3,500 boost in funding earlier this year. More than £1,000 was raised for our charity during the show weekend in August last year (2018) and in January we were amazed to receive an additional £2,500 from the event organisers.

We’d like to say a massive thank you to the show organisers for continuing to make a huge difference to our charity, as well as iCandy and everyone who came along and supported Jessie May over the weekend!
