The charity sector in the UK adds about £18 billion to the economy, or 0.8% of GDP, with many people giving their time and effort to make a difference without receiving much recognition. At Jessie May, we think it’s important to celebrate one special group of these supporters- our charity ambassadors. That’s why we’re excited to introduce the first-ever National Ambassador’s Week, running from 29 September to 6 October 2024. This week is all about showing appreciation for the amazing work charity ambassadors do by raising awareness, inspiring fundraising, and helping spread important messages.
At Jessie May. we’ll be shining a spotlight on our eleven incredible ambassadors throughout the week on social media. They come from all walks of life and bring so much talent and support our charity. Our ambassadors include people like snooker world champion Kyren Wilson, Bristol City Women’s Team, gender equality advocate DR. Zara Nanu MBE, ex-pensions minister Sir Steve Webb, and international dressage Laura Tomlinson. We couldn’t do what we do for children and families without their help, and we hope this week will encourage others in the charity world to recognize the valuable time and effort that ambassadors giver every year.
