…Danny Floyd!

Danny purchased the lucky ticket (#6083) on the final day of sales at the Betfred World Championship Finals at The Crucible in Sheffield.

When we called him to let him know that he had bagged the two tickets to the World Championship Final weekend, and would soon have to make the journey back up from Essex, he was over the moon;

In all honesty, we bought the tickets just as we’d sat down in the arena for the afternoon session, and then didn’t think anymore of it. Our focus was purely on the snooker. By no means did we think we’d win. When Lindsey called me up to tell me that we had, I thought she was pulling my leg!

I’m so pleased to have been able to support Jessie May in even such a small way – they are a fantastic cause and the work that they do is so inspiring.

Danny Floyd, WST Raffle Winner

Danny and his partner, Julie, will now be racing their way back up ready to enjoy what’s set to be a super final showdown on Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd May.

A massive thank you to everyone who bought tickets during the 2021/22 season. Through your generosity we have raised £5,887 through our raffle! This incredible amount will help us to provide 86 hours of specialist palliative nursing care, which equates to a 3-hour visit to 28 of our families.

Another 3 years…

Earlier this week at The Crucible, WST Chairman, Steve Dawson, made a number of announcements – including the news that they have pledged to support Jessie May for another 3 years!

“We are over the moon to hear the news that WST will be continuing to support Jessie May for the next 3 years. This relationship is incredibly special to our whole team, they have truly become part of the family over the last 6 years, and we look forward to seeing what the next season has in store!”

We are now working closely with WST to see what further opportunities we can bring to you, the snooker fans, with details to be announced soon. So keep your eyes peeled to our social media channels.
