Brevio Charity Platform

We’ve got announcements and donations galore incoming – what a way to kick off 2021!

 Earlier this month we were delighted to receive an incredibly generous gift of £10,000 from Brevio Founder, Marcelle Speller, through Oscar’s Fund.

Brevio is the one-stop shop for charities looking for new paths of funding. Their purpose is to save charities much valuable time that they often spend filling in multiple grant applications. By putting it all into one online platform, a space through which you can tell your own inspiring story and mission, Brevio will match you to the funding opportunities you’re eligible for – the non-profit version of online dating if you will!

 Brevio Founder, Marcelle Speller, shared how Brevio is filling a gap for charities that many didn’t see;

Charities play an immensely important role in society. But many are struggling to access vital funding due to complex application processes. I created Brevio to tackle the waste and inefficiency I saw in the grant application process, and I’m thrilled to see charities like Jessie May successfully find funding through using Brevio.

 £10,000 will help to cover the cost of 7 weeks of visits for a Jessie May Nurse, to continue supporting our children and their families, something we know that our families see as a vital support on their journey with a life limited child.

Trusts & Grants Fundraiser, Lorraine Jones had this to say about why Jessie May decided to join Brevio, and how it will support our work;

“As a fundraiser, I am always looking for tools to aid my work in raising much needed funds for Jessie May.  When I heard about Brevio two things appealed to me: reaching organisations and individuals that I may not have found in other ways; and the single application process. Now that we’re signed up, Brevio keeps working in the background and alerts me to any matches, then it’s just a simple click of a button to apply. It gives me an additional and efficient route to finding funding, increasing the chances of raising money for Jessie May’s vital work.

We’re delighted to have already found funding through Brevio which will help Jessie May to provide vital hospice at home care for children across the South West.  Our Nurses provide much needed respite care, emotional support, end of life care, and bereavement support for the whole family during an incredibly difficult time, which is now more than ever.”

Thank you Marcelle, and thank you Brevio!
