Feeding regimes – You will notice a change taking place with regard to feeding regimes and plans when a Jessie May nurse visits your child. Going forward, your Jessie May nurse will only be able to follow the details provided by your child’s dietician or Home Management Service (HMS) and unfortunately not a verbal instruction by yourselves. If this paperwork is out of date or not present, then we will not be able to administer the feed. Rest assured, we are currently requesting feeding regimes and plans from HMS so this disruption should be minimal but on occasion, there may be times when you will be asked to give your child their feed. Thank you for your understanding on this matter.
Respite visits – From April onwards, you will notice a slight change about confirming your respite visits. The admin team will contact you a week before to check you’re still happy to receive your visit. This change comes as a result of noticing an increase in last minute cancellations. Whilst we appreciate some cancellations are unavoidable, if we have advanced notice then there is more chance of being able to rearrange your visit for a later date and reassign nurses to another family who will benefit. You will still receive a message from your Jessie May nurse the day before your respite visit.
